What Mettlr is

Mettlr is a gamified self-improvement tool that turns habits into quests, XP, and ranks. It is designed to motivate better choices. It is not medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, and not a substitute for professional care.If you're struggling with your mental health or an addiction, please reach out to a qualified professional or a local support service.

Who can use it

You must be at least 16to use Mettlr. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they must agree to these terms on your behalf for any purchase.

Your account & conduct

Keep your login details safe; you're responsible for activity under your account and for your real-world choices. Don't abuse the service, cheat or exploit the game systems, reverse-engineer or disrupt the app, or use Mettlr to harm others. Guilds are shared spaces, so be decent. We can suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

Guest play vs an account

You can play as a guest, in which case your progress lives only on your device. Creating an account saves and syncs your progress. It's your choice.

Pro subscription & billing

  • Everyone gets a 21-day free trial of Pro. You're not charged unless you choose to subscribe.
  • Pro is billed through Stripe, monthly or yearly. A Founder plan is a one-time payment for lifetime access.
  • Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time; access continues until the end of the period you've paid for.
  • Prices may change; we'll give notice, and any change won't affect the period you've already paid for.
  • Refunds: because Pro gives you immediate access to digital content, EU/UK consumers acknowledge that the 14-day right of withdrawal ends once access begins with your consent. Otherwise we don't refund partial periods, except where the law requires it. If something goes wrong, email us and we'll be fair.

Our content & yours

Mettlr, its brand, "The System," the app, and its design are ours, and we grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them. What you type into the app stays yours; you grant us only the limited permission needed to run the service for you.

Availability

We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may add, change, or remove features, and the free tier may change over time.

No guarantees

Mettlr is a motivational tool, not a promise of results. Your progress is up to you. The service is provided "as is" without warranties, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Mettlr is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or opportunities. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your use

You can stop using Mettlr and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or if we're required to.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. If you're a consumer in the EU or another region, you keep the mandatory protections and the right to bring a claim under your local law; we don't require you to arbitrate.
