The short version

Mettlr is built privacy-first. It's text-only — no microphone, no camera, no screen-tracking, no location. We collect the minimum to run your account, we never sell your data, and you can delete everything any time.

What we collect

Anonymous play: if you don't make an account, your progress is stored only on your device (local storage). We don't see it.
With an account: your email (for the magic-link sign-in) and your in-app progress — quests completed, XP, stats, streaks, guild.
What you type into quests (e.g. a custom directive). That's it.

AI

When the live System is enabled, the short text it reacts to may be processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response. It is not used to train AI models and not stored beyond generating your message.

Payments

Pro subscriptions are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. They process payment and tax. We never see or store your card details.

Your rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app, or by contacting us. If you're in the EU/UK, you have full GDPR rights — access, correction, deletion, and portability.

Cookies

Only what's needed to keep you signed in. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
